Chicago, At Washington Square Park and the Newberry Library. Cool weather with warm afternoon light shining on some amazing architecture, along with a great mix of people stopping by to connect and offer kind words, made for many reasons why PleinAir painting is so much fun. In this scene, I loved the way the warm light shines on both stone and foliage, illuminating both, but together, their elements of color and form complement and strengthen each other.
